About Bridget
Shy and sweet, Bridget is a gentle love bug who enjoys the company of other cats. She is very cautious of people and does not enjoy pets, however if you bring out a favorite treat, she is there to give you your full attention. You will often find Bridget cuddled up with one of her best buddies as this is what brings her great joy. Her home to be must understand that she will need time, patience, understanding and have steps implemented to help her adjust to your loving home. If you are interested in meeting Bridget, we strongly encourage any potential adopter to visit her numerous times to help build a purrsonal connection with her as well. It is of utmost importance that our shy cats are adopted to homes that either have experience with shy natured cats or are willing to learn how to provide a safe, encouraging environment for them to continue to shine. We offer support as we want each transition to be successful and smooth. Bridget's left eye has shown improvement, however it is something her potential adopter will want to keep watch on. Information from the Ophthalmologist: Diagnosis: 1. Scarring secondary to herpesvirus flare up - left eye. Treatment Plan: 1. With Bridgetโs clinical signs, Bridget likely had a flare up of herpes at a young age that caused multiple areas of scarring to the third eyelid and cornea. She also has very mild inflammation on her cornea that does not need medicated drops at this time. 2. Recheck if needed. 3. Significant Exam Findings: OD (Right eye): Normal periocular area. No conjunctival hyperemia or episcleral injection. Normal cornea and tear film. Normal anterior chamber. No flare or cell. Normal iris. No cataract. Normal optic nerve head and retinal vasculature. OS (Left eye): Normal periocular area. No conjunctival hyperemia or episcleral injection. Scarring of third eyelid to upper eyelid. Eroded leading edge of third eyelid margin. Quiet conjunctiva. Normal anterior chamber. No flare or cell. Normal iris. No cataract. Normal optic nerve head and retinal vasculature.
