Happy Tails

Every cat that leaves our shelter carries a piece of our hearts — and these stories remind us why we do this work.

Clementine

Adopted by The Brennan Family · January 2026

"We didn't know how much our home was missing until Clementine walked in. She was scared at first, but after two weeks she owned the entire couch."

Clementine came to us after five months at the shelter. She was labeled very shy, and we were a little nervous. The adoption team spent an hour with us going over her needs. Three weeks later, she was following us room to room. Now she sits in our kitchen window every morning and talks to the birds. She is exactly what our family needed.

Theo

Adopted by Sarah M. · October 2025

"The volunteers spent so much time helping us understand Theo's needs. He had some medical stuff but they prepared us for everything. He's thriving."

Theo has hyperthyroidism, which I'd never dealt with before. The shelter volunteers walked me through his medication schedule, gave me resources, and checked in with me twice in the first month. Now managing it feels completely routine. Theo is active, happy, and obsessed with my heating blanket.

Rosie & Finn

Adopted by The Delacroix Family · August 2025

"We came in thinking we'd take one cat home. We left with a bonded pair. Best decision we ever made."

The adoption counselor gently suggested we consider the bonded pair. At first we weren't sure — two cats seemed like a big commitment. But after meeting Rosie and Finn together, seeing how they slept tangled up and played together, we couldn't separate them. Six months later, our apartment has never been livelier.
