Start on our Available Cats page to explore current residents. Each cat has photos, a full biography, personality notes, and compatibility information. Take your time — this is the most important step.
Good to know: Pay close attention to each cat's temperament level and ideal home notes. A shy cat in a quiet adult home will thrive far more than the same cat in a busy household with young children.
Visit the Shelter & Meet the Cat
Visitation is open Monday through Friday 7:00–9:00 PM. Weekend visits are available by text appointment. Please do not show up unannounced on weekends. All household members who will live with the cat are encouraged — and may be required — to attend.
Good to know: There are no same-day adoptions. A visit is a chance to connect, not to take home. We want you to be sure, and we want the cat to meet the family.
Submit Your Application
Complete our online adoption application. Applications include household information, housing situation, veterinary references, and cat-care history. If you rent, you must include written proof that cats are permitted on your property.
Good to know: Applying for a specific cat? Name them in the application. We'll note the preference and factor it into our review.
Application Review & Counseling
Our adoption team reviews every application and may contact your veterinary references. We may reach out for a phone conversation or request a follow-up visit. Applications are not first-come-first-served — we match based on best fit for the cat.
Good to know: If more than one application is received for the same cat, we will contact each applicant and make our recommendation based on compatibility, not timing.
Schedule Your Adoption
Once your application is approved, we'll contact you to schedule the adoption. The adoption fee is $130. You may pay a $25 deposit to hold an approved cat while you prepare. Pickup is by scheduled appointment.
Good to know: Bring a secure carrier for transport. We'll send you a preparation checklist when approval is confirmed.
Adoption Policies
- No same-day adoptions — every application is reviewed by our team.
- All household members may be required to meet the cat before adoption is approved.
- Renters must provide written proof that cats are permitted on the property.
- All adopted cats must remain strictly indoors. No exceptions.
- Declawing is prohibited as a condition of adoption. This is non-negotiable.
- Submitting an application does not guarantee placement. We reserve the right to decline any application.
- The adoption fee is $130. A $25 deposit holds an approved cat.
